Room Descriptions

With the door open to the hallway, there’s a view of the courtyard and storehouse.

This unique floor pillar was featured on NHK's “Bi no Tsubo” programme. Unlike square floor pillars, it give the space a cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

The name for the room comes from this bamboo grass pattern on the ranma (transom).

We have two baths, a wooden-style and a western-style. The wooden-style bath is made using Japanese umbrella-pine, a fragrant wood that is soft to the touch. Both baths are common rooms, which guests take turns to use.
